Professional Background
Dr. Desai received his Bachelor of science degree in mathematics and economics at the University of Houston. He began his medical studies at Midwestern University in Arizona earning his doctorate of osteopathic medicine.
He then completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Texas medical school in Houston at the world renowned Texas Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at the esteemed University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville, South Carolina.
Dr. Desai has participated in widespread research and has been invited to speak at various medical symposia and conferences. In addition, Dr. Desai is an active member of the American medical Association, American College of surgeons, Society of vascular surgery, Southern Association of vascular surgery and the vascular and endovascular surgery Society.
Dr. Desai treats each patient as he would his own family and relies on conservative principles, offering surgery only when needed.
