Dr. Desai earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from University of Houston before pursuing his medical education at Midwestern University, where he received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine.

He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston within the internationally recognized Texas Medical Center. During his surgical training, he had the privilege of working alongside and learning from many distinguished surgeons, including the legendary Dr. Red Duke. Dr. Desai later completed advanced fellowship training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, where he gained extensive expertise in both open vascular surgery and advanced minimally invasive endovascular procedures.

Dr. Desai specializes in the comprehensive treatment of arterial and venous disease, offering state-of-the-art therapies tailored to each patient’s unique needs. His practice focuses on utilizing the latest minimally invasive and endovascular techniques to improve outcomes, reduce recovery times, and enhance quality of life for his patients. In addition to his clinical practice, he has remained actively involved in vascular research and has presented his work at numerous regional and national medical conferences and symposia.

Dedicated to advancing the field of vascular surgery, Dr. Desai maintains active membership in several leading professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society for Vascular Surgery, Southern Association for Vascular Surgery, and the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society.

In his spare time he enjoys playing the drums, basketball and spending time with his wife, twin boys and baby girl.
